The massive three room, nine level maze that is Vision can be a bit intimidating at first. With its gothic overtones, dark
winding corridors and spiral staircases, it should come as no surprise that the space was once a downtown church
before it was opened as Limelight Chicago by the legendary Peter Gatien. Once voted the “Number One Mega Club”
by URB Magazine, the club still hosts globetrotting DJs every Saturday night in addition to several weekly parties but
has lost a bit of its luster recently. The club’s massive main room has a large dance floor and also offers ample seating
on the second and third floors as well as in the penthouse area, while the aptly named Lair (located in the basement)
offers a more intimate experience and the Dome room has DJs playing hip-hop all night long. The crowd is a true variety,
with clubbers, ravers, bar kids and even the odd straggler from Excalibur (Vision’s sister club).
